Remove the header decoding for PCM audio from mpeg.c and the
20/24bit parts from pcm.c and merge them into a new decoder in
pcm-dvd.c.
The decoder has added support for samples that span multiple
packets and modified 20/24bit group decoding. Both is needed to
decode samples that have been generated with DVD-Lab Pro 2. The
decoding of 16bit PCM and two channel 24bit is identical to
before. No other samples are known to verify the correctness of
the encoding this software does.
The complete list of tested formats is
48kHz/16bit/2-8 channels
48kHz/24bit/2-5 channels
96kHz/16bit/2-4 channels
96kHz/24bit/2 channels

The original idea was to collect PCM codecs that could appear in various
MPEG streams in this file. Discussion in IRC lead to the conclusion that
one codec per file would be better and stop the need for #ifdefs.
Add one copy of the function into each of the libraries, similarly
to what we do for log2_tab. When using static libs, only one
copy of the file_open.o object file gets included, while when
using shared libraries, each of them get a copy of its own.
This fixes DLL builds with a statically linked C runtime, where
each DLL effectively has got its own instance of the C runtime,
where file descriptors can't be shared across runtimes.
On systems not using msvcrt, the function is not duplicated.

This allows us to remove FF_IDCT_WMV2, which serves no practical purpose
other than to be able to select the WMV2 IDCT for MPEG (or vice versa)
and get corrupt output.
Fate tests for all wmv2-related tests change, because (for some obscure
reason) they forced use of the MPEG IDCT. You would get the same changes
previously by not using -idct simple in the fate test (or replacing it
with -idct auto).
Move some functions from dsputil. The idea is that videodsp contains
functions that are useful for a large and varied set of video decoders.
Currently, it contains emulated_edge_mc() and prefetch().

This isn't too useful as a normal codec, but can be used in
voip style applications. The decoder updates the noise
generator parameters when a packet is given to it for decoding,
but if called with an empty packet, it generates more noise
according to the last parameters.

Earlier versions of for instance of libavcodec expect this symbol to be
present in libavutil. This commit can be reverted after the next major
bump.
New shared builds of avcodec will link to the internal copy of the
table within that library, so those builds won't rely on this table
being present in avutil any longer either.

C++ does not allow to mix different enums, so e.g. code comparing
ACodecID with CodecID would fail to compile with gcc.
This very evil hack should fix this problem.
This file defines a single, huge function, MPV_motion(), which
although being declared inline is not actually inlined by the
compiler (for good reason). There is thus no sense in defining
this function in a header file, resulting in multiple copies of
it in the final library.

This allows building dct-test even if aandcttab.o is not pulled in
by any enabled codec. The DCT with which these tables are used does
not use them directly, so building it without the tables is possible.

Takes encoder delay into account by comparing first the coded page
duration with the calculated page duration. Handles last packet duration
if needed, also by comparing coded duration with calculated duration.
Also does better handling of timestamp generation for packets in the
first page for streamed ogg files where the start time is not
necessarily zero.
An obscure Japanese lossless video codec, originally intended
for use with a remote desktop application.

The WAVE demuxer returns packets with many blocks per frame, which needs to be
parsed into single blocks. This has a side-effect of fixing the timestamps.
v410 is a packed 10-bit 4:4:4 YCbCr format used in
QuickTime.

This simplifies the decoder so it doesn't have to process an in-packet header
or handle arbitrary-sized packets. It also fixes decoding of files with large
headers.
Instead of using fixed coefficients, the correct way is to calculate the
coefficients using the highpass cutoff frequency from the ADX stream header
and the sample rate.
Add a decoder for the VBLE Lossless Codec, which
still has a cult following. Used to be popular
several years ago on doom9.

It is found in some 8svx files (e.g. ones created by SoX).
Currently the decoder reuses the 8svx functions because we already have
handling of a single large planar packet for the compressed 8svx codecs.
The Zork PCM decoder does not decode the 1 sample we have correctly, therefore
the encoder based on the decoder is also incorrect. There is no good reason to
keep the encoder.
Replace our incomplete w32threads implementation with x264's pthreads
w32threads wrapper.

Since IDCT transforming 32-bit input to 8-bit output is unusual and unpractical
for most codecs, move Bink IDCT into separate context. Get rid of an additional
permutation table while at it since SIMD support for Bink IDCT is unlikely to
be implemented in foreseeable future.
Quantisation tables also have to change type to signed for proper
dequantisation of DCT coefficients.

This checks if the set of selected exponent strategies for all blocks in a
channel are in the frame exponent strategy table, and if so, writes the
table index instead of each strategy. This saves up to 7 bits per channel per
frame, so the overall effect on quality is small.
This is enabled with an AVOption on the RTP muxer. The SDP
generator looks for a latm flag in the rtpflags field.

This is consistent with how all other table generation programs are named.
Moreover this ensures that the cos table generation program is correctly
deleted when cleaning the tree.
This collapses the make rules for the trig tables into a pattern
rule. Based on a patch by Diego, modified to avoid using fragile
make constructs and allow future addition of fixed-point sin tables.

for maintenanance. Functionally, it contains no novel ideas and
its intended audience is better served by existing mature codecs.

It is pretty hopeless that other considerable projects will adopt
libavutil alone in other projects. Projects that need small footprint
are better off with more specialized libraries such as gnulib or rather
just copy the necessary parts that they need. With this in mind, nobody
is helped by having libavutil and libavcore split. In order to ease
maintenance inside and around FFmpeg and to reduce confusion where to
put common code, avcore's functionality is merged (back) to avutil.
